Where you should Eat in Kauai

If your brother was heading off to Kauai for a wedding wouldn’t you want to go too? Exactly. So that is, in fact, what my family and I did. We stayed up in Princeville, that side of the island is extremely gorgeous, green and lush and very laid back.

A week long adventure with daily sunrises, beautiful views and, of course, eating. If you are heading on your own vacation to Kauai look no further for foodie inspiration.

Located in Wapaa this last minute decision turned out to be the top food we ate all week!

As a family we split the Ono Kine Duck Wings Korean BBQ. So crispy and delicious I could have eaten two orders myself.

I got the Local Smoke Meat and Bok Choy for my main dish and by far it was the best thing I ate in Hawaii.

Perfect amount of smoky flavor, the bok choy wasn’t overcooked and the sauce it was marinated in just added that extra something. An overall simple dish, but sometimes the simplest things are the best.

Not only are the views amazing but there’s a reason it’s raved about.

Everything we ate was delicious. If you love sushi you have to get some here.

Other delicious eats from the week:

A fun Tiki Bar look, the food was actually incredible. I was floored to find the Fish and Chips were GLUTEN FREE. Can you even believe it?

You wouldn’t even be able to tell, that’s how good it was. The fish was juicy and flaky and I enjoyed every bite.

Duke’s located on Kalapaki Beach was a great stop to fight off our travel hunger. A quick drive from the airport, it’s also a perfect place to get that first look of the ocean. The views are lovely and the food is yummy. I got the ahi poki bowl and ate every bite.

Located in Hanalei, their menu is hamburgers and Hawaiian BBQ. After almost walking out of my 12 year old sandals from sloshing through a down pour I was ready to eat. Their Teri Chicken Plate hit the spot and was a great quick stop in the midst of window shopping.

Also located in Hanalei, oh how I wish this place was right down the street from me. I would be a regular. Even their cold TO GO items came in glass mason jars. What a nice touch. I got a peanut butter smoothie, DELISH, and some chia seed pudding with fruit. My family said the hot and cold coffees were great as well and I wished we had gone more than once.

And of course a Much Needed Sweet Treat:

Located in Princeville. Huge shaved ice. Need I say more? YUM
