DIY Grad Cap + Thoughts about Graduating

When I started college I knew that when I graduated I wanted to decorate my graduation cap. We weren’t allowed to decorate them for my high school graduation and I had always wanted to do something fun with it so I was excited it was an option for college. Fast forward three and a half years and when graduation became an online affair I decided I was going to decorate a cap early to take photos around campus before I went home. My cap had to be something fun and that went with the unknowns that come with 2020.

From my own personal experience, you don’t notice how much you snack until you go away to college and no longer have your home kitchen to grab food. Remembering October

Would it even actually be Fall if you don’t go on a Fall themed adventure? Of course not, and this year I actually got with the program and went on one. My roommate and I decided to spend one of the rare sunny Ohio days out and about. So we left campus and drove 40 minutes to an apple farms kids fall fest. As schools come back in session all of us college kids are once again packing up our things and packing is daunting. So much we could bring, so little space to put it. To make your packing a little easier (and your bags a little lighter) here are 5 things you don’t need to bring with you.

 

An Iron

It sounds like a good idea. Wrinkly clothes need a way to be dealt with, but I’ve been in college for two years and have only used mine a handful of times. Because it takes a lot of effort. Instead, opt for a wrinkle spray or a handheld steamer. Super easy to use and takes up less storage space.
