Summer Bucket List ’18

Nine months of schooling has FLOWN BY, even though at some points it seemed to be never ending.  My first year of college is over! And with my first summer of my college years beginning, and this, possibly, being my last summer completely at home, I knew I couldn’t just sit on the couch and let it pass by. So I decided to create a bucket list of things I want to do over the summer.

  • See a concert-  My brother, best friend, her little sister and I are all going to see Taylor Swift!

  • Spend time outside every day- After spending 6 months of evil winter inside every day I am so excited to see the sunlight.

  • Go to the beach more than once- my family is not exactly what you call the ‘outdoorsy’ type so we never go to the beach, but I finally convinced them to go this year. Fingers crossed.

  • Try a new food- I am a major foodie and my uncle said he would take me somewhere new this summer and he always finds the best places. {Here is a link} to his food Instagram.

  • Learn at least one new song on piano.

  • Play glow in the dark baseball- I found this idea on Pinterest and my brother has never been more excited about anything I have shown him.

  • Wear all of my summer clothes- I have a bad habit of wearing the same few shirts every week so I want to force myself to spice up my outfits. We shall see how this goes…

  • Have a pool party- Every year I host a pool party for my friends and I really hope to make this one extra special since I haven’t seen any of them since December because we all attend different colleges.

  • Fill a disposable camera- This has been on the back of my mind for a while and this is the year I will actually do it!  Maybe.

  • Get my splits- I haven’t been able to do this in a few years because I never stretch, but I am starting ballet again next semester and having this will be a good starting point.

  • Got to a museum- I am a sucker for museums. Art, Architecture, Science, History, and I want to go to a new one, if I can convince my brother learning over summer isn’t all bad.

  • Read 30 Books- If you didn’t know I am a bonafide bookworm. My junior year of high school I read 68 books and coming into the summer having already read just over 20 books I am hoping to beat that this year. And 30 books leaves me with 20 more once school starts up again.

This is the bare minimum of what I hope to do over the summer. If you want some more summer ideas take a look at my Pinterest board {here}.

Which of these would you like to see another post about? How do you plan to spend your summer?
